FAQ

Everything you need to know about how Pinc Bloom works — from your first message to medication at your door.

General

What is Pinc Bloom?

Pinc Bloom is a women’s telehealth platform offering bulk-billed GP consultations and private specialist care — all online, from anywhere in Australia. We treat the conditions that too often get dismissed: hormonal health, period pain, menopause, sexual health, vaginal health, and more. Whether you need a quick script or a long-term care plan, we’ve got the right practitioner for you.

What conditions does Pinc Bloom treat?

We treat a wide range of women’s health concerns including PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, PMDD, period pain, menopause and perimenopause, vaginal and sexual health (BV, thrush, painful sex, vaginismus, low libido), hormonal imbalances, anxiety, perinatal mental health, and more. If you’re not sure whether your concern falls within our scope, message us — we’ll point you in the right direction.

What if I don’t have a diagnosis yet?

That’s exactly why Pinc Bloom exists. Many of our patients come to us after years of being told their symptoms are normal, or after leaving appointments with no real answers. You don’t need a diagnosis to book — our practitioners start from “I believe you” and work with you to find out what’s actually going on.

Does Pinc Bloom replace my regular GP?

No. Pinc Bloom is a specialist women’s health service — not a general practice. Think of us as the team your GP refers you to when your concerns need more time, more expertise, and more focus than a standard 15-minute appointment allows.  Your regular GP looks after the full picture of your health. Pinc Bloom focuses specifically on the women’s health concerns that benefit from dedicated, specialist attention — hormonal health, period pain, menopause, sexual health, vaginal health, and more.  With your permission, we can share consultation notes and care plans directly with your GP, so your care stays connected and nothing gets lost between providers.  And if you don’t have a regular GP? We can help you find one, and in the meantime our practitioners will ensure you’re not left without the care you need.

Where is Pinc Bloom available?

Pinc Bloom is available to patients across Australia. Bulk billing eligibility for GP consultations is determined by Medicare and may vary based on your location — our platform confirms your eligibility automatically when you sign up. Private specialist consultations are available Australia-wide.

Is Pinc Bloom available to LGBTQIA+ patients?

Yes. Pinc Bloom is inclusive and affirming. Our services are available to anyone assigned female at birth, including women, transgender, and non-binary individuals. Your pronouns and gender identity will always be respected.

Bulk Billing & Pricing

Is the GP consultation really free?

Yes — GP telehealth consultations through Pinc Bloom are bulk billed for eligible patients, meaning $0 out of pocket. Eligibility is based on your Medicare card and postcode. When you start your consultation, our system will confirm your eligibility before you proceed.

How do I know if I’m eligible for bulk billing?

Bulk billing eligibility is determined by Medicare and depends on factors including your postcode and Medicare card status. Our platform checks this automatically when you register. If you’re not eligible for bulk billing, we’ll let you know upfront before you book — no surprises.

What do the private specialist consultations cost?

Fees vary depending on the specialist and appointment type. All pricing is displayed upfront on our Services & Pricing page before you book — no hidden fees. Medicare rebates may be available for some services (such as psychology) with the appropriate referral and care plan. We also recommend checking with your private health insurer, as some funds cover telehealth allied health services.

Can I claim on Medicare or private health insurance?

Medicare rebates are available for eligible GP consultations (bulk billed at no cost to you) and for some allied health services like psychology when you have a Mental Health Care Plan from a GP. For private specialist services, many health funds offer rebates — we recommend checking with your insurer. We provide invoices you can submit to your fund directly.

Are there cancellation fees?

For private specialist appointments, please give us at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations may incur a fee equivalent to the consultation cost. Bulk-billed GP consultations have no cancellation fee.

How it works

How do I get started?

Simply message our AI triage nurse — no appointment needed to begin. Describe your symptoms in your own words and answer a few questions. A real Australian GP will then review your case and respond. If you’d prefer to book a private specialist directly, you can do that too from our booking page.

Do I need to have a video call?

For bulk-billed GP consultations, our model is async messaging — you describe your symptoms, a doctor reviews and responds. No video call required, which we know makes discussing intimate health concerns a lot easier. Private specialist consultations may include video appointments depending on the service.

Do I need a referral to book?

No referral needed. You can message our triage nurse or book a specialist directly — anytime, online. If you need a referral for Medicare rebates on psychology or other services, our GP can arrange that for you as part of your care plan.

What if I need in-person care — tests, scans, or procedures?

Pinc Bloom is built for telehealth, but we know some care needs to happen in person. If you need blood tests, ultrasounds, or a physical examination, your Pinc Bloom practitioner will refer you to trusted local providers and coordinate with them so your results come back to us and nothing falls through the cracks.

Can I share previous test results or documents?

Yes, and we encourage it. Uploading previous blood tests, ultrasound results, or letters from other practitioners helps your Pinc Bloom doctor build a complete picture of your health from day one. Don’t worry if you don’t have anything — your practitioner will take the time to understand your full history during your consultation.

Prescriptions & Pharmacy Delivery

How do I get my prescription after a consultation?

If your GP or specialist prescribes medication, your script goes straight to our partner pharmacy — no extra steps for you.  If you’re in Sydney, you’re welcome to collect your medication in person from our Newtown pharmacy for same-day pickup.  For everyone else across Australia, your order is dispatched same day (for orders placed before our cut-off) and delivered discreetly to your door. Standard packaging with no identifying health information on the outside.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched same day where possible (subject to order cut-off times). Delivery times vary by location across Australia. Sydney patients can also choose to collect in person from our Newtown pharmacy for immediate pickup.

Can I get repeat prescriptions?

Yes. Repeat prescriptions can be ordered directly through your patient portal when they’re due. You’ll receive a reminder before your script expires. If your repeats run out, you can book a quick follow-up consultation with your GP to renew your prescription.

Do prescriptions expire?

Yes — all prescriptions have an expiry date, which you can view in your patient portal. Make sure to order at least 3 days before expiry. If your script has lapsed, book a quick follow-up consultation with your GP to renew it.

Do you deliver to regional and rural areas?

Yes. We deliver to all of Australia including major cities, regional towns, and rural areas. Due to regulations, some medications cannot be delivered to PO boxes — we recommend using a residential address or parcel locker.
