PincBloom is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal and health information. We handle all personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth)and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and disclose your information when you use our platformand services.
We collect two types of information: personal information and sensitive health information. Personal information includes your name, date of birth, contact details, and billing information. Sensitive health information includes your medical history, symptoms, current medications, pathology results, consultation notes, and any other health-related information you provide to us or that is generated during your care.
Information is collected directly from you when you create an account on our platform, complete our AI-assisted triage questionnaire, communicate with our practitioners during consultations, upload documents or images to our platform, or contact our support team. We may also collect information from third parties, such as pathology providers or other healthcare providers, with your consent.
Your information is used strictly for the purposes of providing you with medical care and managing our clinical services. This includes facilitating consultations with our practitioners, issuing prescriptions and referrals, processing Medicare claims and payments, communicating with partner pharmacies (with your consent), sending appointment reminders and follow-up communications, and improving the quality and safety of our services.
We will not disclose your personal or health information to third parties without your consent, except where required or permitted by law. We may share your information with other health care providers involved in your care (e.g., your regular GP or a specialist) only with your explicit consent. We may also disclose information where required bylaw, such as mandatory reporting obligations or court orders.
We employ robust technical and organizational measures to protect your health data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and is stored on secure servers located within Australia. Access to your health information is restricted to authorized practitioners and staff involved in your care.
We retain your health records for a minimum of 7 years from the date of your last consultation, or for 7 years after a child patient turns 18, in accordance with Australian medical records legislation. After this period, records are securely destroyed.
You have the right to request access to the personal and health information we hold about you, request corrections to any information that is inaccurate or out of date, and withdraw consent for the use of your information (where applicable). Our website uses cookies and analytics tools to improve your browsing experience and understand how visitors use our site. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings. We do not use cookies to collect health information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
